Exciting Opportunity for New Residents in Iceland!
We’re thrilled to announce a special initiative at Fjölskylduland, funded by the Ministry of Education and Children’s Affairs, aimed at supporting families of foreign origin.
“Diverse Families” Project:
Starting January 26th, and then every Friday, Fjölskylduland opens its doors FREE for newly settled residents from abroad with children aged 0-6. This initiative is part of our commitment to foster community integration and support for families adjusting to life in Iceland.
When: Every Friday (starting January 26), from 3 PM to 5 PM
Where: Fjölskylduland
What We Offer:
+A welcoming, fun environment for children to play and connect.
+An opportunity for parents to meet, socialize, and exchange experiences.
+Special educational workshops and presentations (1 session per month).
Registration Details:
+Limited to 20 families per session.
+Registration is mandatory for free entry.
+Each family can participate once a month.
+Required information: Family name, number of children, children’s ages, nationality, and whether the adult speaks English.
This project is not only about play; it’s about building a supportive community for families starting a new chapter in their lives in Iceland. We’re here to make this transition smoother and more joyful!
